What to Bring

Cameras, binoculars, sunglasses, warm clothing, a sweater and medium or light jacket. Raingear and waterproof footgear, deck and/or light hiking shoes.

Weather

Southeast Alaska is a temperate rainforest. The lush beauty and wealth of fish and wildlife are the result of our ample rainfall. However, most of Southeast Alaska’s rainfall is in the fall and winter. Nevertheless be prepared for rain. April, May and June are considered the driest months. However, July and August are the warmest.

Transportation

Ketchikan is located on Revillagigedo Island, 90 miles north of Prince Rupert, British Columbia and 235 miles south of Juneau, Alaska.

Alaska Airlines provides direct daily service to Ketchikan from Seattle, Washington. The flight is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
